Our story

Sixteen years in technology assets

Hawk Line has been buying, refurbishing, and selling business computers in South Florida since 2010. This is how the company managed to find a slice of the industry that lets both sets of customers win.

2010

Learning the work

Hawk Line was founded in 2010 as a wholesale distributor of computer electronics. The industry then ran the way it still runs today: equipment moving in large mixed lots, ungraded, untested, sold as-is, with every buyer discounting for the work someone else would eventually have to do.

We decided to be the ones who did the work. From the beginning, we graded, repaired, tested, and refurbished every unit ourselves before it went back out. It was the slow way to run a distribution business, and it built something the fast way never could: a refurbishment operation that improved with every lot, and a reputation for shipping machines that were exactly what we said they were.

The business grew quickly. But wholesale distribution left us at the mercy of the market, dependent on whatever supply came up for sale, at whatever terms the market set.

2016

Securing the source

The answer was to go upstream. In 2016, we added IT asset disposition, recovering equipment directly from the organizations retiring it, handling logistics, certified data destruction, processing, and resale in-house.

ITAD grew rapidly and became the core of the company. It also changed what Hawk Line was: the equipment now came to us first, straight from the source, before any broker or bulk lot touched it. The supply problem that constrains every refurbisher was solved and after years of processing retired corporate equipment at volume, we understood both ends of the industry from the inside.

2024

Completing the chain

What we saw from that position was a gap. ITAD companies sell equipment the way they receive it: in large mixed lots, minimally processed, priced at a discount for all the work still to be done. Resellers need the opposite: individually graded, tested, warrantied machines they can sell to their own customers with confidence. Between the two sits the actual work, and the industry’s structure leaves it to whoever’s willing.

We’d been willing since 2010. In 2024, we launched Hawk Line Resellers to connect the pieces deliberately: equipment now moves from ITAD intake through grading, repair, and testing to a finished, warrantied unit. One company, one facility, start to finish.

Today

Today

Doing the work ourselves changes the economics for everyone in the chain. Organizations retiring equipment earn a share of what their assets actually sell for as finished units, not a bulk-lot discount that prices in someone else’s labor. Resellers buy directly from the source, with no brokers or middlemen in between, and get machines that one accountable operation has handled the entire way.

Hawk Line today operates from our Pompano Beach, Florida warehouse, processing 245K units a year across its ITAD and reseller divisions, the same specialty, the same place, sixteen years on.

How we operate

We’re not the flashiest company in this industry, and that’s deliberate. We keep our commitments. We put things in writing. We answer the phone. And our warehouse is open to anyone who wants to see how we work. If you’re evaluating Hawk Line as a partner, please reach out on our Contact page, and every request routes directly to our staff.
